One of the first questions families ask us is simply, how much does a Buddhist funeral cost in Singapore? The honest answer is that it depends on where the wake is held and how many days it runs, but our packages are fully itemised and given to you in writing before anything begins, so there are no surprises.
Buddhist funeral package prices
Our all-inclusive Buddhist funeral packages start from:
Additional wake days can be arranged at a top-up of about S$350 per day, up to a maximum of seven days. Each package can be upgraded or personalised to your family’s wishes.
What the package includes
A complete Buddhist funeral package with us covers the essentials, so you are not sourcing items separately during a difficult time:
- A half-glass cremation casket and professional care, cleaning and make-up of the deceased
- Undertaker collection from the home or hospital, and daily attendance by a funeral director
- The full wake setup — tentage, tables, chairs, lighting, fans and a Buddhist altar
- Venerable monk chanting and the coordination of all Buddhist rites
- A photo enlargement with fresh floral arrangements
- Professional pallbearers, a hearse, and a bus for guests on the day of the cremation
Costs that sit outside the package
A few third-party fees are charged at cost and are separate from the package price. The main ones are the cremation fee — S$100 for an adult and S$50 for a child at Mandai Crematorium (note that Mandai does not allow chanting on site), or S$436 at Tze Toh Aum Temple, which includes prayers — and, for a parlour wake, the hall rental. We explain all of these upfront.
