For many Singaporean families, the HDB void deck is the natural place to hold a wake — close to home, familiar, and able to welcome the community. We handle the entire setup so you can focus on your family.
The permit and setup
We secure the wake venue with the relevant Town Council and arrange everything required for an outdoor void deck setup:
- Tentage and a canopy for the casket area
- Tables, chairs and lighting
- Fans, air coolers and a standing fridge
- An elder-friendly portable toilet where needed
- A Buddhist altar and full ceremonial setup
Each setup is designed to accommodate a minimum of around 100 guests. Drinks and refreshments can be arranged on a consignment basis.
Pricing
Additional days can be added at about S$350 per day. Everything — casket, care of the deceased, monk chanting and the send-off — is included in the package. Compare it with a parlour wake if you are undecided.
