After the cremation, there are a few more steps — collecting the ashes, deciding on a resting place, and continuing the prayers. Our team guides you through each one so nothing is left to figure out alone.
Ash collection
Cremation takes place at Mandai Crematorium (S$100 for an adult, S$50 for a child; note that Mandai does not permit chanting on site) or at Tze Toh Aum Temple (S$436, which includes prayers). The ashes are collected the following day, and we assist with a floral water cleansing setup and the collection service.
Choosing a resting place
Families are encouraged to consider the final resting place in advance. Private columbarium niches can be purchased beforehand, while applications for government columbaria can be assisted by our funeral directors. Preparing the niche early lets families plan their time and budget more calmly. Advice on sea burial or inland ash scattering is also available.
Continuing the prayers
Buddhist tradition places importance on the prayers that follow the funeral — the 7-day, 49-day, 100-day and yearly observances. We can guide you on each, and coordinate a monk where needed, so your family can continue to make merit for your loved one.
